Time heals all wounds…

Yeah, I call bullshit. My grief still bleeds out each and every day no matter how much time passes.

I’ve managed to make a new life for myself by helping my bestie run TheOmegasGuide—our viral social media account. We support freedom of choice for all designations.

Though I’m starting to wonder if having a choice is really all that great. Locke’s up my ass more than usual, acting weird, and…is my hulking Beta friend flirting? I’d be lying if I said I didn’t secretly hope he’d ignore that whole friend-zone thing. Then there’s Cohen—the commanding, broody Alpha who wants nothing to do with me, but that I can’t stop thinking about. Of course, I can’t forget Bastian—the sexy stranger I ran into—literally. With his big, warm, mouthwateringly gorgeous body and haunted brown eyes, I’d love the chance to get to know him better.

The intensity of our chemistry is explosive, but they’re not a pack, and I’m not looking for another forever….right? No. It hurts too much and goes against everything I believe now.

No relationships. No commitments. This Omega needs to rediscover just who she is and can’t fall into anything serious.

Nope. Knot a chance.

I’m rounding the corner of the booth, a ridiculous grin still plastered on my face, when my body collides with a brick wall. The water bottles tumble to the ground, and I hear a loud oomph. Hands grab my hips, steadying me, as I look up and lock gazes with the hottest man I’ve ever seen in my life.

He’s tall—damn near as tall as Jax—with dark hair and dark eyes that are currently looking a little shell-shocked. Not that I can blame him. I just bulldozed right into him.

“I’m so sorry!”

“It’s okay. I’m fine. You?” he asks quietly, his lush, sensual voice flowing over me like water against a sandy shore. Goosebumps skitter along my skin.

He’s staring down at me with quite possibly the most gorgeous amber eyes ever gifted to a mortal. Heat travels up from my toes and across my legs, settling over my entire body like a warm blanket. He smells like coffee, rich and creamy and delightfully addictive. He smells like Alpha. I take in a deep breath of air as I prepare to laugh at myself, but all I get is another dose of savory goodness. I can feel the whine revving up in the back of my throat, but I swallow it down.

No. We do not whine for strange men, Arden. Seriously, right now?

Fuck. Me.

No, but for real…
